Nutritional aspects
Nutritional attributes
The quality of the seed protein is very good; it can supplement the dietary protein needed by monogastric animals.
Potential constraints
The seeds are reported to contain gossypol .
Poultry
Mature seed are sometimes collected for chicken feed.
